Introducing GapOnly

Introducing GapOnly

At North Coast Veterinary Services we work to make sure your pet is getting the best possible treatment and you are getting amazing service. As a pet owner, when your fur baby gets sick or injured, the last thing you want to be worrying about is whether you can afford treatment. That’s why many of you have taken up pet insurance.

When one of our very special patients, Princess Sparkles, went to the veterinary specialist, and her owner told us about GapOnly™ we knew we would have to make this happen for our clients. We all wanted to be able to offer this great service.

GapOnly™ organises pre-approval for treatment so you know your pet's treatment is covered, then reviews and calculates your claim while you’re still at North coast Veterinary Services. You simply pay the gap (the difference between your invoice and your pet insurance policy claim benefit) and go.

This means less out of pocket expenses, no paperwork with on the spot claims, and the convenience of a 10minute approval process.

A GapOnly™ claim can be processed:

Monday–Friday: 8:00am–8:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am–5:00pm

When GapOnly™ isn’t available, on Sunday, After hours, and on Public holidays, an electronic pet insurance claim can be submitted instead. With eClaim you do still have to pay the vet bill, but there is still no paperwork, and the processing time is within 2-4 days.

Not all insurers are signed on to GapOnly™. RSPCA, Petsure, Australian Seniors, Woolworths, BowWowMeow, PIA, Prime, Petbarn, Real, Guardian, and Guide Dogs are the current GapOnly™ insurers. But with convenience like this, the number is sure to grow!

How to claim

1. Let the NCVS team know you’d like to submit a GapOnly™ claim for your pet’s treatment. Make sure we have your policy number on file.

2. We will lodge a GapOnly™ claim on your behalf, and it’s assessed with 10 minutes. Any longer and the team will let you know so you can decide whether you want to stay or have the claim processed as an eClaim instead.

3. Once the claim has been assessed and approved, you simply pay the gap and go.
